This one was from a year ago, but now I have a visual, so here is a re-run!

That is fantastic!! I love it. ;o)

What, pray tell, is your canine model's name?

Oh, this is hilarious and sweet. I love it! And loved reading the back story, too.

Your poor pup, though. I can only imagine how un-fun it is to sit through two humans trying to sock-suit paws not fit for human clothing. My kitties would never let me near them to do something like this. They're skittish about their paws enough already, and especially my girl kitty.

oh my goodness...i thought the picture was hilarious, but the story was even better. thanks 23. i have a couple of dogs and live in the tundra of Minnesota, but I won't even try the socks idea with them. They have really nasty ways of getting me back if I do anything they find humiliating. It usually involves underwear or lip gloss. Don't ask.

Kirsten, Her name is Jireh and she is my son's dog. He saved his $ for two years and prayed every night that God would "provide" the perfect dog, hence the name. Beautifully natured and very smart and LOVES frisbee! (and has actually brought home some hardware from competitions)

Christianne, Glad you liked the story! One thing I did when she was young was play with her paws a lot, so it would be easy to clip her nails as she grew (who knew I would be putting these "socks" on her later!)

Terri, glad you are back! Lip gloss and underwear, eh? Sounds like a Far Side! I will be looking forward to this story! BTW, we are northern neighbors.

oh, now that you mention it, if my dogs could talk and conduct experiments they would totally be featured in Gary Larson's world.

Hi neighbor!

Gary Larson rocks!

I hate cleaning off the wet paws. I have "an indoor dog." I wonder if we could do some kind of boots.

And then we have another dog who is staying with us until May. That dog has razor-sharp claws. Maybe I can fix a more permanent cast on each paw, like the stuff they use for broken bones. Yeah, that'll work.

Oh. My.

(On another note, I showed my artist daughter your angel art piece. She wants to see more of your work! As do the rest of your blogging admirers.)

Terri, your dogs sound like a hoot! If we could only read their minds!

Craver, dog sitting, eh? Razor sharp claws...hmmm. Maybe if you glued sandpaper to the treadmill again and had him walk on it...

LL, thanks for the encouragement! I plan to do more and have three good sketches that could be possibilities. You homeschool, yes?

Lauren! Glad you popped over! I am looking forward to hearing more about you and your family. Check out Llamma Mamma's link in "My Community" she is a hilarious and insightful mother of three (with twins.)

Yes, the story was hilarious! And I do like the story about how she got her name. I bet God loved & cherished those prayers for a pup. :o)

nabeel, thanks for stopping by.

She is pretty embarrassed in this shot, but when it's 20 below zero, these socks are a life-saver (paw-saver.)

Just stopping in to say hi. Your Zimbio/Zamboni comment made me laugh.

L.L. Barkat said...

Oh, and yes I homeschool.

LL, thanks for tapping on my window...and glad I gave you a laugh. My wife's favorite word is actually, "Zamboni." Strange, but true.

I think we talked about home-schooling. It can be so rich and wonderful for parents and children. We may do it again with our youngest, she seems to have 1000% potential in a 100% classroom.

BTW, how do you keep track of where you submit comments on other blogs?
